Hi again, i was recently told by comment on youtube that the 670sli idea was not good because they only have 2GB of vram. HERE IS WHAT HE SAID -

"if you are going SLI the 4GB would be a good idea.
You shouldn't run low on VRAM before they get low on power."

"SL setups last.. for example 470 SLI is about the same FPS as a 680.
One would expect 670 sli to perform like an 880."

I have also been told 2GB vram will not be enogh soon and games like skyrim need 4GB vram, Nedd help with all this lol!!!

Hi, i am really stuck now, because The games i like playing are demanding (crysis 3, shogun 2, rome 2 when it comes out, skyrim with mods), i don't think having cards with 2GB vram will be enough (GTX 670sli), will it be worth just saving up for a single GTX 4GB 690?

Well the 690 is effectively two underclocked 680s, each with 2GB.

I think you are worrying unnecessarily. I can say that a single 670 powers through Shogun 2 and Skyrim as I play those games myself. We don't have the requirements for Rome 2 yet but it would be astonishing if dual 670s had any trouble with it. As to Crysis 3, you could look for online footage of people playing it with that hardware.

Great, I have concluded the GTX 670's are my choice of cards =-D

Well, if you are thinking of SLIing the 690 in future then you will need a bigger PSU. If you are not planning to SLI it (and, of course, it's such a powerful card that you may never need to) then you could get a non-SLI motherboard.

Are you planning to overclock the CPU? If yes, I would get PCS to do it for you, and also upgrade the CPU cooler. If no, you could get the plain 3570 (non 'K') CPU and get 1600 MHz RAM (as that is the speed of the stock-clocked memory controller).

An SSD boot drive would be a nice toy in a luxurious machine like this.

I'd get at least the Silver warranty.

The H80i would be a good choice of cooler if you overclock but - again - I would suggest getting a pre-overclocked system from PCS if that's your goal. That way you won't have any problems with the overclocking affecting your warranty.

An SSD is absolutely not essential. I only suggest it because you are looking at such a high-end system. It will allow your system to boot much faster than it would from a hard disk and will also allow applications that are installed on it to load faster (although you wouldn't have room for a whole library of games on an SSD, just a few favourite titles). It doesn't make applications run faster once they are loaded though. TLDR - it's a nice to have item that will make your machine feel snappier in use, but it's not essential if you are worried about cost.
