Need help with what Monitor is best

Hello, I have just bought/ordered my first gaming PC. I took a very basic monitor on the original order. After more reading I see I should defo upgrade the monitor asap.
Could anyone suggest a monitor for around £300 that they think would be good? Ideally I want 1-3ms response and 144hz refresh I think? Thanks in advance for any replies

Apologies if my previous post comes across as a bit harsh..it wasn't meant that way.

If I was in your shoes, I'd cancel the order I already have and start again...it is better to wait a few days longer (even a month longer) to ensure you have the right system than spend, potentially, the next 5-10 years with a system that you aren't happy with
It’s okay haha, it didn’t come across as harsh.
I’ve picked the same motherboard as you. I could always just upgrade the graphics card and RAM just now and I think then my pc would be the same specs as what you suggested?

In terms of been stuck, I’ll have this kid off within 2 years and cans/will upgrade as I go. My only thing about investing to much is not enjoying and I am looking at the new Xbox at end of year so need to finance around it.
I won’t be playing anything to demanding and with been used to Xbox graphics etc I’m not going to be to bothered about any if that for the first year or so.

Upgrading the GPU and RAM is a start but it will still be in a not particularly good system....the CPU is not really a chip for gaming but more home office stuff, you have a really slow hard drive, the cooler is not necessary. If you went with your spec, to get half-decent graphics out of it would require upgrading pretty much everything, including the case (and you'd end up spending double or more on the system overall). If not demanding means games that are like 10-20 years old then you would be fine.

Regarding xbox graphics, they would be much worse with your system as the settings would be on the absolute lowest for modern games

Ultimately, it's your choice as it's your money
Yeah you convinced me. I’ve upgraded to the specs you suggested. The cpu, ram, gpu and ssd. Only an extra £250 or so worth it. Thank you very much for the advice

I would strongly suggest upgrading the case to the Focus G...I know it's more money but the Focus is the best budget case bar none and it will prolong the life of your system as the airflow is just miles better than the CIT case (I have the Focus G case housing my system and even after it being on for 16-18 hours, including 10+ hours of gaming, the case still is cool to the touch and the component temps are not much higher
Oh I did upgrade that as well haha to the case you suggested

To upgrade to the same platform, you'd have to cancel the build and start over as it's a different configurator? That processor won't cope with what you're asking of it.
