new 3900 compared to 3800x and 3900x

Hi, What is the deal with the non X 3900 that has started to appear. Under what circumstances would be it appropriate with its lower core speed and power? Especially as it is £85 more than the 3800x by the looks of it.

It’s a lot more cores than the 3800x whilst being cheaper than the 3900x, but it’s not a good cpu for almost all uses over the 3900x

This is why it's not appropriate to give advice on individual components, the build is all paired together based on budget, usage and monitor, you can't advise on individual components because they all fit together to fit those criteria.
