Hello PS Specialist Team,

I hope to purchase a PC for flight simming in the next few days.
I have a 26" 1080p monitor at the moment, may upgrade to a 32" 1440 in the new year.
Can someone look over the spec below.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi PC specialist,
I am trying to match your specs with the Predator high performance PC from Wired2Fire.
(I have added a 3TB HDD and Wired mouse and keyboard) Total comes in at approx. €2000.
I have 16GB of memory stated above, but would prefer 32GB as per the Predator offering.
If you can match similar as Wired2Fire, I would buy from your company.

I have gone with the 5600x rather than the 5800X3d.
I basically need to know is everything compatible with each other and suitable for MSFS.

I've been on here a few times.
Can someone look over this. I've tweaked it a fair bit.
I will only be playing MSFS 2020 and X Plane 12. The PC will be used for nothing else.
I have a 25X 1080p Monitor but will be buying a 1440p in the new year.
It comes in at approx €2200. Any savings would be much appreciated.
There definitely are some over specd items for 1440p gaming.

I would strongly recommend propping up a number of areas. The 5800X3D would definitely be the go-to for these uses also.

1.Do I need 32gb of RAM for MSFS @ 1440p?
2. Can the power supply be reduced?
3. Would performance be impacted a lot if I went with 5800x?
4. For the 2nd Drive, could I save a little and go with ssd sata, maybe 2-3TB?
5. Lower spec processor cooler?
If no savings to be mad, I will more than likely go with your suggestion.

I was looking to save a little as I still need to buy MSFS 2020 and a 1440p monitor.

It's one of these precarious things where you would be spending a lot to get a nearly good build, where spending a little more gets you the ideal build.

1. 32GB of RAM is recommended. It can make a difference especially with the higher resolutions. There is a benefit to be had regardless of resolution. You can get away with 16GB as that's what I currently have, but I would be building a system with 32GB as a starting point nowadays.
2. Power supply should last 10+ years without too much hassle. You could reduce the PSU but you would be limiting your upgrade options. 1000w is recommended for the 3080, for example, and power usage isn't dropping unfortunately. Many users have found themselves having to increase the PSU size for any GPU upgrades. You want to avoid this if possible.
3. Yes, the 5800X3D is the known pinnacle for FS2020. The 5800X literally pales in comparison.
4. Again, you could. Direct storage is coming to a lot of games, if FS2020 gets the treatment it could make a massive difference. The faster the drive you have, the better. I went with the budget M2 option, you could reduce it to 1TB to have the same performance with just a bit less storage.
5. The processor runs hot, you want a good level of cooler on there. The non-RGB corsair offerings are the old design running on standard fans. The one I've selected will be near silent for most operation.

You could do all 5 of these options, I guess my point is that I simply wouldn't recommend them for the reasons outlined above.
