Has it put you off ryzen ? Reading through the other thread and looking at your old pc specs maybe a 5600x build would be a good option ? on both builds you have opted for a budget cpu cooler this isnt advisable a overheating cpu affects performance and causes issues

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 (120mm) Fan CPU Cooler Black Edition is a terrible cpu cooler for that cpu

I went though this build with two people at pc specialist and this was what they suggested for the money I had they did offer to quote for a Ryzen pc but I was told it wouldn’t have much difference anyway because of what games I play i wouldn’t say I’m put off ryzen just this is what was suggested

Air cooling is fine but would need somthing like the noctua d15 for a cpu like that CoolerMaster Hyper 212 (120mm) Fan CPU would be running at full to cool it be loud and prob bottleneck it tho a technician at pcs would prob know more then me about cpu cooling but just dosent seem right to put that cpu cooler onto that cpu in my opinion

I honestly don’t know what to do I talked to a tech and someone who deals with the refunds and we went through it the tech made the quote and then I went through it with the refund guy just to make sure he would recommend it too

In principle, @jamiephillips909 build is without a doubt superior in a few key area's. Intel are just not very good CPU's these days for countless reasons. The argument is that they're relatively strong in single core performance which is suited to gaming, but the reality is there are so many other detrimental factors from a security stand point and cooling standpoint, and the fact that Ryzen now equals them in single core performance anyway for the same cost, plus the fact it utterly destroys them when it comes to almost any other use, there's almost no reason to choose intel. Very few people use their computer solely for gaming. As soon as you factor in anything else, the Ryzen will perform much stronger for an awful lot longer.

But there is one critical area that we're missing: What monitor are you pairing this with? We've currently specced you a 1440p GPU, but that may be unsuitable if you're playing on a 1080p monitor.

I’ve sent an email to them to contact me about it again I don’t get why they are recommending this pc to me when you guys are saying that it’s most probably that good I had little trust in them before my trust in them is going down and down

I understand what you are saying but the person who I spoke to on the phone was the person who built my original pc so he’s been there a little while and sounded like he knew what he was talking about and then I spoke to someone higher up I just don’t seem to get anywhere with them the last pc broke 3 times in 6 months and the last time it broke it just shut down completely
