New pc

PC building is a fine art, and PCS have some very new people who just aren't up to speed yet.

I understand what you are saying but the person who I spoke to on the phone was the person who built my original pc so he’s been there a little while and sounded like he knew what he was talking about and then I spoke to someone higher up I just don’t seem to get anywhere with them the last pc broke 3 times in 6 months and the last time it broke it just shut down completely
Im sure this will be resolved this time just bring this up with them and I have complete confidence they will set this right for u

Unfortunately this kind of thing is unavoidable with any electronics. There are so many individual capacitors and components all crammed in together, you can stress test a PC and it will work absolutely fine for a while, and then suddenly one of the capacitors will leak and cause an outright failure. It's just the way electronics are. That's why warranties are so important, to protect against unseen failure.

The fact the PC died is not in PCS control, the way they responded and refunded you allowing to buy a more powerful one for the same money is far more important.

Don't be put off, where you have been one of the unlucky few with your last PC, we can get something far better specced that will make you sing on a daily basis.

If you're unhappy with the advice you've had from PCS, then trust us and we can spec something killer for your budget that will last happily for 7 - 10 years.

can I see your evidence for that please as I know someone running an i7 very comfortably on that. Otherwise, stop saying things just to fit your ‘default’ coolermaster liquid 240 or a top end Corsair one narrative

I'm sure you know how to google?

If you don't understand boost clocks, and how poor Intel are at reaching their "advertised" speeds, then please don't be so aggressive.

It's one thing asking for more information, but you're just looking to cause friction.

Your monitor is a 240hz monitor so actually the 3060ti would be a better pairing in theory, but there are reasons why I haven't configured it.

BUT, with the budget, you'd be sacrificing the core build at the expensive of factoring in the higher GPU.

Have you actually played at high refresh? Most people don't notice anything over 120Hz.

Warzone is expected to be played with DLSS on, this will greatly improve framerates, but it's still a hungry game, to get the best performance (as with any new AAA) you will be expected to optimise settings to suit your expectations of FPS vs visual fidelity. You should be able to comfortably average 144fps with a few settings optimised without affecting visual fidelity much at all.

With competitive settings applied, you should comfortably be able to average around 180fps peaking around 200.

Benchmark for Warzone on 3060

Simulation games aren't going to benefit at all from high refresh rate. And GTA will run perfectly fine with the 3060 even factoring in 240Hz, it's not a competitive title either.

Just further, some in game performance between the 5600x and the 10700k, they're literally neck and neck in most titles, with each going just ahead in intel vs amd titles.

Benchmark suite

Bear in mind the Warzone benchmark here isn't factoring in DLSS as it wasn't out at that time.

Swap the 3700X out for a 5600X, and change the PSU to a RXm, and you wont be far off the mark

I wouldn't recommend the 3900x as it's a last generation cpu, if you go above the 5600x you'll also need to change the motherboard to a 570, and also up rate the cooler which is also more expense on top of the higher price cpu, so bearing your use and budget in mind i'd stick to the 5600x

I've actually just ordered myself a 5900x system, without a graphics card or OS and that came in at £1619

I'd still highly recomend the 5600x, it's going to out perform the 3700x, however that is your choice and yes definitely the RMx

Well I’ll change it to the rmx
But when I called up the other day I was told to go with the 3700x instead of the 5600x because “it has fewer threads and cores so futureproofing will suffer” so I don’t know what to go with in my pc what broke before I had the 3800x
