Remember, any pc component you buy, it’s not the performance now that even matters, it’s the consideration at the point you’re upgrading that component in a few years or more time.

This VRAM issue highlights a few games where it tanks NOW, guarantee at this point, developers have clearly ignored NVidias stranglehold on VRAM limitations, and many of the upcoming titles will require over 8GB at 1080p from here on in.

The only real place that 8Gb could possibly have any relevance today is the xx50 class which is just designed to get you in the door.

Not sure where to put this (so please feel free to move to a better area)...and I'm assuming it'll be updated shortly to show the new 5060 models...but here's the latest Tom's Hardware GPU Hierarchy...

So NVidia will not offer ANY press drivers, so there will be zero 3rd party reviews before release for the 5060

The release date on May 19th is also when all reviewers are flying to Taipei for Computex, so it’s likely there won’t be any 3rd party reviews on Day One either

This isn’t just by coincidence, Nvidia are doing this on purpose because they KNOW reviews are going to be negative

Someone put a great comment -

NVidia… The way you’re meant to be played!

Nvidia getting it in the ROPS from GN & HU (and probably others soon) for underhanded/favourable/fake (delete as appropriate) review conditions...

I don’t know what the hell is going on at Nvidia but they’re nearing lawsuit territory in several areas

Price fixing and false advertising come to mind rather swiftly

Sorry, had to drop this in here as couldn't bring myself to give it a dedicated thread.

This is so Asus / Nvidia. A GOLD Astral 5090, apparently only 500 made, meant for the Saudi market, a cool $8000!!!

Wow, I think that might be below MSRP 😁

Although I’m surprised there’s no garish Maybach, Mansory, Brabus, or Project Khan tie-ins to cater for those odd Middle-Eastern tastes.

That pricing is just ridiculous but that market won't bat an eyelid at all

I would hope that the binning was gold standard too so would like to see some numbers from it. How precarious does that connector look to be juicing 50A.

That's a very good point, you would expect perfect silicon wafers in something as premium as this.

Will be interesting to see if any proper benches are done.
