Opinion on new build

£3,000 max budget.

Primary use is for gaming with a little video capture and rendering of animations for personal projects, possible future VR use.

2 Monitors which are:
- AOC G Line 2nd Gen 27" curved - 240Hz
- MSi Optix MAG271C 27" curved - 144Hz
These are my next upgrade following the new system, moving up to 4k monitors.

Also have an external 4TB SSD for backups.

Very healthy budget, and good start on the build, but there are certainly areas for optimisation.

Won't get too bogged down in specifics as the regulars will do a far better job than me.

CPU - The 9800X3D will offer better gaming performance, and depending on how heavy duty your rendering is will mean you may not benefit from the extra cores

GPU - Solid pick, but we have next gen cards coming over the next few weeks. AMDs new 9070XT is expected to perform similarly to a 7900XT and should be cheaper, although we won't know for sure until 3rd party benchmarks drop. You've mentioned a monitor upgrade to along with this.

Storage - There have been a few reported issues with the Samsung 990 drives on the forum compared to other products.

Thermal Paste - The Corsair cooler comes with premium paste so you can save this here.

Warranty - Silver Warranty when you're investing this much is a no-brainer.
