Ordered Top spec Liquid Series!

I spend all day on a pc, and I do a mix of everything from streaming with 4 video programs open to rendering as well as normal tasks such as spreadh sheets etc.

I work from home and decided my next PC will be the best I can afford ( I have always wanted a top spec PC).

This may be overkill for what I want but jsutified it as it would save me the money paid for it over time savings, and also it will look very good (I lovetech ). Also my old i7-8700k just isnt up the tasks I use it for using 100% CPU more than Id like (I multi task on a 49 inch superwide a LOT).

Il do a full review once I have received it but I have to say, PC speciliast support have been amazing answering the phone calls (I called alot checking things) and so much fast than any other supplier I called.

Absolute beast of a machine, orginally wanted to spend aroudn 3k, but saw the AMD T3 was out and got rave reviews and couldnt resist.

Day 4 of waiting now (expected) and cant wait to get it.

That looks like a monster. I would definitely remove the OC though as that will hamper the performance of the system overall. AMD chips don't OC like Intel do.

Going wrong shouldn't really be the consideration. Anything can go wrong at the end of the day.

With liquid series, what you need to be aware of is simply cost and hassle. If you are happy with the additional outlay (not unusual to see £500+) and the hassle of clearing out and replacing the liquid and the paste....... it's all positives.

I'm a HUGE enthusiast. For many years I've considered a liquid build.... done myself. I've never gotten there though, it's never been worth it for me personally. The money is up there (5x the cost of the best cooler!) and I would need to CAREFULLY strip it out every 6 months to a year.

I would love to build one though!

I was looking at that option as well, the Liquid Series RGB Lian Li PC011D – EK

There doesn't appear to be any info on what that kit contains, is there some listing somewhere else to indicate what radiators, fans etc comes with that kit. Is it like in the Lian Li case images, a radiator at bottom and top with rgb fans on both?

Also if ordering a gpu cooling block, is it required to choose the Asus Strix cards? the dropdown offers a 2080 super anda 2080 ti non-Asus ones, so will these be compatible with the gpu cooling block?

Actually found out the info by clicking on the question mark next to selection dropdown:

Just wondering about the gpu requirement, does it need to be Asus Strix or are the other ones ok as well, what make/model are they likely to be?

I would give PCS a call, or try the live chat to get an answer. I'm not sure which GPU blocks they have available but I know that they tend to use Palit or Zotac cards. They have also used founders cards from time to time, which I believe have an optional block for too.

If you do get the answer, it would be really great if you could feed back for others with the same query.

With all of that said, I'm not convinced that a liquid build is the best solution for 99% of cases. The only time you really want a liquid build is because you really want a liquid build. There's not a great deal of benefit from having it and the hassle of actually having it is significant.

I did get in contact with William at PCS via the live chat. He was able to confirm that any of the graphics cards in the selection box can be selected for use with the gpu water block, and that the non Asus ones are indeed usually Zotac or Palit. He also confirmed that the cooler liquid is fully filled beforehand when shipping. Also that the warranty (silver, gold etc) does also apply to Republic of Ireland as well as the UK.
