Payment info on account page

Hi,

I ordered my new PC today and chose finance option to pay for it, even though I have more than enough funds, regular income, good credit, no defaults in over 5 years, always make payments on time etc etc. Hitachi for some bizarr reason decided to decline my application for finance, pretty upsetting as now they will have an effect on my credit score being declined by oh well there loss.....I had easily enough funds to purchase the PC out right I just wanted to spread the cost out a little.

Anyway here is where the account page and my order info seem to be a little mixed up. After being declined finance I chose my main bank's debit card as choice of payment, payment went through fine and I came to the order confirmation screen etc. When I went to look at my order on my account page, I scrolled down to payment method and it says "finance" not debit card.

Is that an issue with the page or my order or is something else wrong? Payment went through fine and I used 3 day rush service so hopefully my pc will be here sometime next week.

Would appreciate it someone from PC Spec could look into it for me. Thanks.

I would not worry about the finance company turning you down...I had a similar situation a year ago with a company although I had a high credit score I was quite shocked at the time of a refusal....The reason was I had not used my credit cards and had too much available cash/credit I was told to close some of them down.
Strange because like you I had never failed to pay my debts and they lost out.
Pcs are very good with customer services so I am sure they will resolve your problem.. I have found that the telephone works best.

Aye Hitachi as with all finance companies have their own ways on credit scoring people. While your overall credit score (as scored by Experian etc.) might be good, each company has their own individual indicators which they use to gauge whether you are (in their opinion) over committed etc.

Worst thing about it is you never get told exactly why you've been refused. At least you were fortunate enough to be able to afford the finance outright!

As skr1 says, PCS have excellent customer service. I would give them a ring or send an email if its more convenient (or at a push use the online chat facility) rather than just leaving a comment on the forum if you are concerned though. A quick phone call and you'll be sorted in no time!

I tryed to use the online chat service, I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for someone to reply then gave up and posted here. I did send an email also.

The livechat service is only answered during PCS's normal hours, ie. 9am-5pm weekdays(and 9am-1pm saturday), and the live chat is behind phone and email for getting answered, so phone is normally the best/quickest way to get through to them

I have updated your payment method to "Debit card" - all is OK now and we will process your order as quickly as possible. :)
