Pc build advice

Hi there,

just after some assistance in regards to configuring a pc. Had a look over some of the info on these threads, and there’s a lot of info.

I’m looking for a new gaming pc, I currently have a 165hz 1080p monitor, but will look to upgrade that in the (hopefully) not-too-distant-future. I’m looking for a build to play aaa titles such as Warzone, new battlefield etc

any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Ah my error. Just assumed the 27in.

Question with 32 vs 27 at 1440p is whether you want larger screen/lower pixel density or smaller screen/higher pixel density.
Those sizes at 1440p are going to make zero difference to visual pixel density.

Pixel density is not really applicable in the main on a monitor, it's more for phones, coined by Apple. It's marketing gibberish.

The 32" G7 is a superior panel to the 27", it would definitely be my choice.

@SpyderTracks. Have to disagree with that. I don't think it's 100% a marketing gimmick. I think that Apple has taken it to extreme levels in the last few years with providing panels with 100+ pixels/degree which is unnecessary for the vast majority of users. A bit like 240Hz+ refresh dispIays which I think have no point for 95% of users, yet sell very well (Samsung G7 etc).

Nonetheless, if I take two of my Dell panels, both IPS, both native 1440p, then 27 looks a lot crisper for text and Excel than the 32. I can easily notice the difference over a work day. Of course, my 32in Dell 4k is much better than either which why I don't use 1440p for work. For gaming, though, it's not such an issue and I'm more ambivalent between 27 and 32 at 1440p.

I'd agree the G7 is a essentially superior panel but it also costs more. The panel in question is a G5 and I couldn't say is obviously better than a M27Q (or LG 27G850-B say) with all of them at around £300. I'd always take an IPS over the VA and I couldn't deal with the low SDR brightness level on the G5. I have to admit not liking the G5 at all. But I can easily accept others do like it.

I have to agree with you on the G5 perspective, it's a great budget option but the price hasn't reduced that much since launch and there are now better alternatives at the same or even under budget, especially with the current HP offer for £270 for full fast IPS, I would choose that every time over the G5.
