PC can't start - BIOS / Harddrive issue?

Hey all,

Yesterday my PC crashed and then had a blue error message, for it to then restart and then into bios issues on startup. Initially it was stuck on a "checking media presence" message, and then after looking through the bios screens which originally had 2 startup options (neither would work) and doing a hard reset, I was then met with no options with a "the system cannot find any bootable devices" message in bios.

Any suggestions? This is a bit above my computer knowledge. I got the PC this past February from here at PC Specialist as a pre build machine. Thanks in advance.

With no external drives plugged in, when you go into the BIOS, does your Windows boot drive(presumably the M.2 SSD Drive 1TB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD (2200 MB/R, 1500 MB/W) show in the list of options?

Thank you for the reply! Sorry I should have put this in the original post. This would be under "storage information" right? I'm not sure if it showed originally when the 2 boot options were visible. But currently no that section is empty too..

So it sounds as though your Windows boot drive has failed - I'm no expert so if others offer other advice then go by what they say. Do you have access to another computer? If so it may be worthwhile creating a windows installation medium as described here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d I think this will give you some options to troubleshoot your drive. But I don't have enough expertise to advise you from here and you could inadvertently lose data from the drive. I hope your data is backed up?
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will pop along soon to help you. I think they may want to see the full page of your machine's specifications.

Ah! Nothing is backed up unfortunately but it is what it is. I have an old laptop that is just about usable temporarily. I will give that a good read cheers. I appreciate the help.

Check that the drive has no become loose from its slot, but if it's not appearing in the BIOS, high chance it's failed. But it would be under warranty, so best thing to do is to contact PCS and start the process of getting it replaced, etc.

Had a check and nothing seems loose. Yeah I was worried it could be something like that. I think I'll see if there are any more suggestions over the weekend but then yeah that might be the best option. Thanks for replying!
