PCS always use Palit

When ever I see a topic about a Graphics card (Gc) brand the answer that I here a lot is Palit. Any reason why that is ? Im not saying that Palit is bad but why does PCS choose them over EVGA, PNY,MSI, ASUS and Zotac. The only two brands I have seen on the forums is Palit and once Zotac. I dont understand how it can be a price thing when each GPU from each brand perform the exact same, unless some only do OC'd Gc's

I am asking this because I am going thro other forums and Gc's people seem to be using the most are ones by ASUS and EVGA, giving the impression that Palit and Zotac models are not on par with others. Any thoughts ?

Palit are quite a general brand of graphics card, they offer nothing special but have nothing going against them, they are not really thick like the ASUS cards, and not as expensive as the EVGA cards, a lot of the others are also overclocked, including most of MSI models

Hello, and thank's for your question,to cut straight to the point we at PCS do not use just Palit card's we use whatever stock we can get out hand's on as graphics card's alway's seem to be short on supply and high in demand, infact over the last year we seem to have many of the other brand's you have mentioned in your original question.

Palit are the biggest manufacturer of NVidia GPUS's on the planet. Originally they were an OEM supplier, supplying pretty much all the big computer manufacturers etc. They have now moved into retail also, and own the brands of Gainward, Xpertvision etc., Galaxy etc.

Being the biggest they are much more reliable when it comes to supplying companies such as us. Palit also have their own manufacturing facilities and produce their own cards. Whereas some of the other brands already mentioned contract out to 3rd party manufacturers. This also makes them much less vulnerable to supply issues, and also less expensive. While you may think that a gpu that is more expensive than others is re-assuring, it is probably the case that it is more expensive because there is an extra cost associated with getting somebody else to make it.

However, when it does come to new release cards, or gpus in short supply we will get stock from a host of manufacturers, as no one manufacturer can guarantee enough supply to meet our needs.

Hmmm.... See that's the thing. Which models? The OCed stock designs? Or the custom air coolers?
