PCS Prime 321 - More RAM !!!

Hi, I have just bought a PCS Prime 321.

It has 2 x 8 GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz DDR4) and I want to upgrade to 32 GB RAM.

MOBO: ASUS Prime B760-PLUS D4

Can I just buy 2 x 8 GB RAM more or do I need to buy 2 x 16 GB RAM?

Thank you.

Unless you can guarantee to be able to get hold of IDENTICAL RAM, then you'd need to replace it or risk instabilties/incompatabilities.

I'm assuming this was bought from the electronics store El Giganten?

Yes, that is correct.

The MOBO has 4 RAM slots.

I know that the RAM must be identical.

Can I just buy 2 x 8 GB RAM more or do I need to buy 2 x 16 GB RAM?

Not just identical in speed/latency...but the same make, model, construction, batch that's currently in there...unless you're confident of troubleshooting/manually tweaking RAM settings.

If you call up PCS you can register your PC and get access to your account for support/warranty/upgrade service..where they'll make sure you get the same RAM...although I understand it may not be feasible being in Denmark.

Thank you.

Can you please answer my question regarding which RAM blocks I need to but? (2 x 8 GB more or 2 x 16 GB) :)

If you’re happy to throw away the original 2x8GB sticks, then 2x16GB @ 3600MHz of CL14 DDR4 is the right stuff.

Don't do it. Spend the money and buy 2 x 16GB matched sticks in a pack and sell the 2 x 8GB on to someone else. I see a large number of BSODs that are down to mismatched RAM. IMO RAM should always be bought in a pack of matched sticks. Doing anything else may lead to disappointment.
