Premier League Gone Mad

I'm well aware of the importance of marketing exercises in football these days, but having a third of the Premier League involved in next season's "Champions" League seems a bit of a stretch.

Well we had 4 in it this year, and didn’t get to the final, so maybe 6 is the magic number…not forgetting that the Champions League was extended to 32 teams as well.

1 team also into Europa League.

1 team also into the Conference League.

But I’m much happier that Spurs won tonight 😁

Easily the worst final I've ever watched just the standard of football was abysmal, doesn't help being a Utd fan but holy crap it was bad on all fronts

Two toothless teams and a final won by essentially an OG, just terrible on all fronts

Although I don't remember our (Liverpool's) 2-0 win over Tottenham in the 2019 Champion' League final being an action fest either...but at least we won.

The permutations for Europe are kinda crazy. England could have 10 teams in European competitions next season if Chelsea win the Conference League.

I'd argue that Everton beating United in the 1995 FA Cup final was a worse one. We were shocking that year and genuine relegation candidates. United should never have been beaten by us!

Good old Paul Rideout, he had to steer clear of Manchester United fans for a while after that. But I don’t think he spent much time in Surrey anyway.
