Prime Day Deals Thread

You do realise this will end up being like an Epic Games 4pm thursday afternoon....a complete flop having expected a really good game and ended up with some Indie game that was only £1.99 anyway.
Yeah, I've noticed the Prime deals getting worse and worse over the years. I remember when I got my G920 and shifter for like 50% off. Checked every year since and it hasn't been as good. Oh well, worth a look!

Yeah, do be careful for this, check out the full price of the items when normal, I found last year that a lot of the listings they'd bumped up what the full price actually was so it looked like a massive deal until you researched it. I was specifically looking for toothbrushes last year but it was the case with all the big brand ones.
i.... isn't this illegal?

Depends how it is put. RRP reduced to .... or if they can show it was on sale at £ y for so long and now reduced to £ ... - plus all that is likely to happen is someone complains to the ASA - they look into - give Amazon a slap wrist and told not to do that again for that product...

CamelCamelCamel is legit, it's been around for donkeys and camels.

All it does is track price changes and give a direct link to the listing, nothing more.

Edit: apparently it's not as accurate as it used to be, if anyone knows of an alternative, nows the time

Let's get in gear! Countdown progressing.... T minus 9 minutes.... and counting

Amazon edition of the Logitech MX Master (it says MX Master, but the serial number / product code on my latest purchase says it’s a MX Master 2S) is £32.99 again…

2TB Crucial X8 external SSD for £162.99 (has been around the £200 mark for the last 6 months)…

It's live! GO GO GO!!

Sadly, none of the items on my prime day list seem to be prime day deals :/ So guess I'll have to buy them at full price. Oh well, maybe I wait to see if the become lightning deals!

1TB Samsung 980!

Ooooo, god.

Another piece of advice, something I've only just become aware of.

If you've got a credit card attached to your amazon account, and you've got a good history of payments with them and not returning loads of stuff, they'll sometimes do you offers on some items where you can pay in 5 installments without having to take out any credit and you don't incur any interest whatsoever, they literally just front you the money!

That Samsung 980 pro is on that offer for me.

I'm damn pleased the G9 isn't otherwise I would have just grabbed it!

Furthermore, if you've got a Monzo account, the card is classed as a credit card as it uses Mastercard.

the G5 and G9 were on that offer for me too.

Seen the G7 now too £ 429 or 5 payments of £85.80:

Make that £409 on this one:

Nearly forgot!

Don't forget about CamelCamelCamel, really useful tool for tracking price drops:

There‘s an extension called ‘Keepa’ which will put a price graph within the Amazon page, so you can compare prices without having to copy & paste the URL.

Here‘s the graph for that 1TB 980…

That’s how I got my headset last year! It was around the time I’d just fronted money for a brand new setup, a new PC, monitor, keyboard and mouse. The thought of an extra £120 was leaving the food budget tight for the month so went for that option. There are literally no drawbacks.

It's too good an offer. If I didn't have my speakers lined up, I would have been all over the G9.

As it is I think I'm going to risk leaving it until Black Friday and try it then if there are any stocks left.

The G9 V2 is due to be released in July which may well dry up the current stocks. But I'm hoping since the V2 is such a significant upgrade both in hardware and price (almost double the price), I'm hoping they'll continue making the current model while the V2 finds a market.
