Proposed new gaming build for the new Ryzen X3D CPU

Hi

I might be jumping the gun a bit as the new Ryzen X3D CPU's are not out yet or seen any benchmarks on them but I was hoping to get the rest of the pc configured and saved so I just have to change the CPU option when its out and then place my order.

I will be using the PC mostly for gaming and the usual web browsing and netflix etc
My current monitor is a Acer Predator XB271HUAb NVidia G-Sync 2560 x 1440 WQHD 144 Hz native refresh rate (165 Hz overclocked) - But I might upgrade this to a 4k monitor next year or so.

The games I will be playing will be games like Elden Ring, Witcher 3, Final Fantasy online, Guild wars 2, Star wars jedi fallen order, PUBG and possibly MSFS etc and I would like to play them at ultra settings.

For sound I use - Creative Sound BlasterX Katana Multi-Channel Gaming Soundbar which I will be using with the new PC.

If you can give it a look over and see what you would change, if anything is bottlenecked etc, im not interested in RGB, I just want the case to be good airflow and quiet.

My budget is up to £4k as I want it to last a good few years still running on ultra/high settings.

Any info you can provide would be great, I want it to last a long time with only minor upgrades. I know you wont know what the CPU is going to be like but if I can at least get the rest sorted and can update this when they come out for further feedback on that before buying.

Thanks

D

Build is pretty much spot on. I would make a couple of small changes though, just personally.

The case is fine for your needs, but I would really consider something a little more premium. It's a very basic case, great for sub £100 but not premium like the rest of the build.

I've switched the storage around. For the primary drive I would typically aim for 500GB. I would suggest this is approx 2.5x what a typical OS drive would need to be size wise. I wouldn't store more than 200-250GB of stuff on this drive which keeps it nicely inside the 50% margin for optimum speed. The actual difference in read/write in the real world won't make any odds.

The story is similar with the secondary drive that I've picked. You get double the capacity with very little read/write difference across the drives. The endurance of the Firecuda is far better than the Samsung also. Not that it should matter too much, it's just worth keeping in mind.
