Purchased a used PCS ionico, advice

Hi I've purchased an Ionico 17, ryzen 9 5900x with RTX 3070

I've not had a chance to fully inspect it yet but is there anything I need to know about this model and what tests would be good to run on it to make sure its all good ?

Appreciate any advice thanks

Also is the RAM expandable?

Very first thing, you need the seller to transfer the warranty or you won’t have any access to drivers so the system won’t work properly

If they’re unaboe to or refuse then cancel the purchase, sellers are fully aware they need to do this and suggests it’s a stolen laptop

I cant find the thread now as someone was trying to register second hand PCS laptop. So putting this here to help any future enquiries: The previous buyer has to log into their PCS account and on the first page use the button within that account (on right hand side): They will then see this...

Ok thanks for that, they've said all the drivers have been downloaded onto the D drive so wouldn't need to get any divers from PCS but would transfer the warranty, I've looked at the form you've linked and not to keen to pass on that many detais of my self. Would the drivers already stored on the laptop be sufficient?

It's all information they would have from the sale anyway. The drivers on the laptop are only relevant from that date, drivers are updated all the time, they eventually won't work.

You're stuck without a PCS account.

Unless I give them all my details as the new owner,
name, address, home number, mobile number, email
Is there no way around this ?

The laptops on the way to me, I'm going to have a look over it and if im happy then transfer the warranty. For the same spec laptop or very similar it is a good deal so just want to make sure everything's all good with it.
It has the windows key missing, still works just the key missing, is it possible to get a replacement?

And I guess original question,
is there anything I need to know about this model and what tests would be good to run on it to make sure its all good ?

And Is the RAM expandable on this model?

Without a transferred warranty, we can’t offer any advice I’m afraid.

Once you’ve got the warranty transferred come back and we can offer some pointers

Windows is licensed software, it’s illegal to use it without a valid license

Ahh OK fair enough, thought it was just for the drivers

The transfer is done to your account, so all the details will be populated. If they’re not, either your logging into the incorrect account, or the transfer hasn’t been done
