Hi there. New member post - sorry if repeated a 1,000 times in forums.
I am about to collect a

Tornado R5 Gaming PC - AMD Ryzen 5, GTX 1660, 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD

from Curry's. Reading around, it seems that the 8Gb DDR4 (2400) RAM is under-specced and I would like to understand how I go about upgrading it to 16 Gb. No apologies for such a basic question from you techs out there but I really am very much a noob.

I just wouldn't buy that PC at all, if you're having to do any upgrades after purchase, then it's not a suitable build.

Those curry's ones use really low end components on the platform making upgrades basically not possible.

I would get some advice on a custom build from here.

Agreed, you also don’t want to have to deal with Curry’s ‘legendary’ customer service if anything ever goes wrong it 😑

I feel like you should cancel or return your purchase if you can as currys prices are much higher than alot of custom pc builder websites such as this one and you will be able to get a better pc for the same price as you would spend at currys.
