Since you ordered without the OS license, did you clean install your own copy of Windows?

TongFang Control Center normally has a tab (General settings -> GPU settings) where you can adjust the laptop refresh rate.

I haven't reinstalled windows fresh, its just the one they sent with the laptop and i activated a code when i received it.

So essentially its as they sent it out.

If you don't order a license, it's a test windows, you can't use that without issues, it's not been setup properly, it's purely for running some basic hardware tests.

You'd need to clean install your own copy.

From there we can start troubleshooting if the problem remains.

You need to create a bootable USB with Microsoft Media Creation Tool and then carry out a simple clean install.

You can follow @Martinr36 guide for it. :)

W11 clean install instructions

Download a new copy of Windows using the (Second option on linked page) to an 8GB (min) USB. Media Creation Tool
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia/AMD website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).
This is also worth a watch

Hi,

I've created and installed a completely fresh activated windows copy, I've also downloaded all the drivers and installed them according to the manual and its still only displaying 240hz.
