Recoil 16" vs. Recoil 17" Cooling and Noise

Hey all!

Is there any difference in cooling efficiency and noise level for the same spec laptop when it's on a Recoil 16" chassis or a Recoil 17" one?
I mean, in theory, Recoil 17" should fit larger fans, but is it the case?

The latest Recoil 16 is a new design. The latest Recoil 17 is the same as last years with a small improvement to the water channel for the 4080/4090 versions.

I have a 2023 Recoil 17 and there's quite a bit of empty space inside....so the fans are not going to be any bigger.

I would go with the 2024 Recoil 16 (not the 2023 one). If it's one with the 4080 or 4090 you'll want to get the water-cooler as well. This reduces fan noise in the laptop as well as preventing throttling under load.

But then there's the whole issue with 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs right now.
