Hoping you can see the specs of the laptop, basically very happy with PC Specialists, I got it for my son for schoolwork but also wanted it to be decent with gaming for a comparatively good price - which is what I have

. Seems to work well for those, the games he has put on so far are quite challenging on PCs and look and work great. The keyboard is also very cool (changing coloured lighting behind the keys) although not yet figured out how to change the colours. Only criticism is battery life is shocking, it said up to 2 hrs which I assumed meant close to 2 hours but only got about 45 mins out of it yesterday.

Well, what exactly were you doing on those 45 minutes? Because I can get almost 1 and a half hours while just browsing the web (2 hours no way), but for that to happen I need to change the power profile to "quiet mode" or power saving on the control center software. Look for it, it's installed by default on this laptop.

While gaming, no laptop with a dedicated graphics card will reach 2 hours of battery life.

The Nova is one of the worst options in terms of battery life, since it doesn't have an integrated (low-power) graphics card, so it does consume a lot of power most of the time. However, no other similarly specced laptop will give you such a great performance as this one.
