Hi all,
Not sure where to post this but..
I have recently bought a 15m ethernet wire cat7 (yes I know it's not entirely necessary for home use but for price and such is fine). I bought it to get the full speed to my pc straight from the router, as my current set up is using power lines and giving my pc around 120mbs as well as my Xbox about the same.
When I have tested the wire I tried it with nothing else plugged into my router and straight into my pc, but the output light on the ethernet port is orange and only outputting 100mbs.
So I used the 15m wire from my fibre port into my router and it was giving my router the full speed and a green light.
Any suggestions on what might be making it only 100mb output where everything else is ok?
I have sky internet of 900mb and get around 690 of that.
On WiFi from the router I get around 590 on test.
