Second Drive Question

I have a ASUS® H310-PLUS R2.0: ATX, DDR4, LGA1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs mother board and I would like to add another SSD
I presume one of the sata connectors would work? and i buy the fastest drive I can
Or
could i put a PCI M2 adapter in and a M2 flash drive

If i am reading this correctly sata is around 500mb read and pci m2 is at least 2.4 gig

so question is would the pcie m2 adapter 'just work' in my pc specialist rig with the above mother board

Well if this is the right board it shows it has an M.2 socket, best bet is to go to the order on the main site, scroll down & click on the upgrade this order button and check in there what choices it gives you drive wise, if it lists the 1TB PCS M.2 then grab one of them, they are great value

That is has. And it has a 256G SSD in that slot. I would like to add a second SSD. How would I do that?

your spec above only lists a standard ssd, not an M.2, they are completely different
