Test date was a Saturday, went from QC to Dispatch on the same day, in a timespan of 2 hours, this morning.

It's for a laptop and I ordered no OS, so I'm kinda worried that they never tested anything on the machine. I wonder what they do test in these occasions, how they facilitate that they machine they are sending is up to par. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

PCS install Windows for testing purposes whether you buy an OS or not,so no need to worry.

No need to be unduly concerned.

They install a trial copy of the OS which you can activate using your licence key if you wish, or install a separate one.

The machine will be run though an automated series of tests designed to pick up any faults. QC doesn't take too long, its basically just checking it passed and everything looks fine visually.

Ok, feel kinda better now, although it's odd that they worked on weekends, poor sods. Can't wait for tomorrow or the day after though!

They work weekends/overtime at buy times to keep the waiting times down as much as possible. Normally I don't think they work weekends otherwise, but as uni just started loads of people want laptops. Everything should be just fine though.

I think it's the laptops slowing down orders as desktop build times don't seem to be affected. I am sure there would have tested your laptop thoroughly before sending it.
