Morning all, the above is the build I've got in processing atm , looking to upgrade from my laptop of I7-7700k with a 1060 in it.
I'm looking to be playing stratagy or the game called "Squad".

Can I improve, my budget is £3k.

I get that there's a big argument for AMD vs Intel/nvidia, but when building this I was like, ill go with what I know, but build into it redundancy for future upgrades.

It makes no sense to go for Intel over AMD at the minute AMD have them beat in every category especially the CPU you've selected. The 10900K is a better processor than the 11900K they've literally gone backwards on that one mate

You have a very healthy budget but I'd strongly advise against going near Intel especially their 11th Gen processors which just aren't good, you're hamstringing the future potential of your build before you've even bought it

yeah if i was you, I'd create a quote using the spec that @Steveyg has put together, give PCS a call and see if you can swap it over, if not then cancel the intel build and order this instead

This looks very good indeed.

I'm thankful for the support and when I saw your first list I was like, 3080 intresting, but I'm of the mind it's a bit much for what I'll use it for and the 3070 it's better bang for buck.

Do you recommend I change it on the website or is it better to call up to get it changed? Reason I ask is I hear call times are long.

If you've already placed the order you'll likely have to call them up to cancel as you would be changing from Intel to AMD as per our recommendations. Up to you but the wait time can be worth it for a faster and more clear outcome

To swap from intel to AMD you'll have to give them a call, have your existing order number handy and the quote number for the AMD build and explain that you want to swap to the AMD

I'll have to call them up about it tomorrow afternoon when I'm free, and I'm not too fussed about wait time, since I already expected it not to turn up for months anyway due to the GPU shortage 🤣

Question is, can I ask to add the monitors I've selected to the new order, since I'm looking at the config and there unavailable. I'll be sure to ask since the 2 AOC G2460VQ6 24" LED Gaming Monitors I got on my order looked good.

Nah those monitors are a waste of the 3070 you should be looking for a 32" or 34" 1440p 144hz monitor to get the most out of that GPU

You're also better buying your monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc elsewhere as there are better deals out there for those

I started my build on Intel 11900k and I later cancelled and went for Ryzen 9 5900k. It is running a little bit cooler and the temps stay stable. Thr first cpu I often looked at was Intell but now I have been converted to the joys of AMD, all haile team red.

I cancelled the Intel build over the phone and changed to AMD very easilt, the rest of the build was the same. They issued a credit note and it all went smoothly.
