Uses - I will mainly use the pc for games such as Microsoft Flight sim 2020, GTA 5 and First Person shooters
Budget - My budget is 2,800

I'm just wondering if this is a good pc for the games i mentioned above

Hi there, I've given this spec a bit of a balance for you.

If this is a purely gaming build the Ryzen 7 5800X will be perfectly adequate, I'd only suggest the 5900X if you plan to stream or video edit as that's really what it's designed for. For this change, it saves about £200 and loses minimal gaming performance. As has been alluded to by @loso64 I'd upgrade the motherboard, for the 5800X, I'd recommend the TUF X570. As you intend to play MSFS, I've upgraded to 32GB of RAM as it can be a bit of a RAM hog. AMD also loves fast ram so I've popped a 3200mhz kit in there. I've been able to keep the Strix, although going for the standard 3070 would likely save time and some cash (I'll come back to GPU later). For storage I've played around so you now have a super fast Gen 4 500GB SSD for Windows and applications, a 1TB SSD for games and the 2TB HDD for general files. I've upped the PSU to a fully modular RMx 850W unit. The 5800X can get toasty so I've upgraded to the newer generation of Corsair Capellix AIO. I've removed the thermal paste as it already comes with high quality stuff applied. I've removed the anti-virus as it's known to cause issues and swapped to the silver warranty, it's well worth the £5. I've also got shipping to the Republic of Ireland, is that correct?

For your current monitor, the 3070 would be massive overkill for 1080p 144hz, something like the 2060 would be a much better match for it. Due to your large budget, I've left a bit on the end for a new monitor that will match nicely with the 3070. 1440p 144hz monitors would be the sweetspot for this card and can be found for bout £300. The two I'd recommend checking out is the AOC CQ27G2U (I own one and love it) or the Samsung G5 ( @Martinr36 has one and loves it). Alternatively, if you were to swap to the standard 3070 (which would likely be a Gigabyte, Zotac or Palit) and save the cash you could splash out on a 1440p ultrawide which would be amazing for MSFS. The particular one I have in mind is the AOC CU34G2X and is about £460. I know @AgentCooper has a 3070 and CU34G2X combo and it does him well.

Effectively:
Stick with the current monitor: Swap to 2060
STRIX 3070, Upgrade to 1440p standard aspect ratio
Standard 3070, Upgrade to 1440p ultrawide

You’d have plenty cash remaining to get an ultrawide 1440p monitor that would be so much more immersive, especially when it comes to flight sim.
