I am thinking about ordering another gaming laptop from PC specialist...

Please can you guys put the best/high end specs together that will handle the top gaming with no issue. But the machine will also be used to render images (photoshop) and videos

Money/Price is no problem...

So the best processor. RAM & graphics card... even if possible x2 graphics cards.. plus the biggest display possible 17/19 inches
(Once priced up, in theory it should be the best/highest spec available on the market at the time)

They might get merged to keep things neater.

The Vortex I linked appears to only have 970M SLI options available atm, making the single GTX 980 of the Octane more powerful.

I would recommend waiting for Pascal though, there are rumours going around that the 1080M will be wildly more powerful than the GTX 980 desktop

I've specced the below, but obviously if you want more storage, faster network card or whatever, then add that. Or switch the 1tb HDD for a 1tb Samsung 850 Evo SSD, or whatever. :)

1080m pascal = laptops

GTX 1080 is a Pascal desktop card, yes. Benchmarks available across the internet.
GTX 1080m doesn't officially exist yet. (But if it existed it would be laptop pascal, hence the M :) )

But some leaked benchmarks showed a GTX 10xx series GPU in a laptop doing about as well as a Titan X desktop card.

If you look at the benchmarks I linked to in your other thread which I linked to above the 970M SLI is almost always weaker than the single GTX 980 (as in, the non-M GTX 980 you can find in the Octane II Pro)

why not 2 x GTX 980m

Option appears to be unavailable for the VortexV Elite, it's only showing the 970M pair in the dropdown atm.

even if it is late july or early august... does anybody know how long before the GTX 1080 will be added into the drop drown menus for customisation from PC specialist? straight away? or will we have to wait?

I don't think anyone could answer that tbh, as it's hard to say when a card that doesn't officially exist will be officially available in Clevo laptops and when PC Specialist will be able to sell them.

I'd guess around August though, as if the leak is legit there's already one laptop chassis with one in that's doing the rounds. Earlier rumours also pointed to August.
