The big "what am I doing today" babble thread

I have done this on a number of forums and always goes down well. So.....

Very simply put: Just write down whatever your doing or whatever you have done/accomplished today in-game's or in real life.
Can be anything from training to amount of skill gain to items you have found betas you have played or good kills you have done. ANYTHING
This keeps babble about such things into a nice sorted place and gives people a place to do their daily rant.

Today (Even though it is only just coming up to 9am) I woke up with a stinking headache and checked on my cat who went to the vets yesterday.
Been in work 10mins and already solved an issue on our largest job, now roll on 5:30!

I'm sitting at my current job with absolutely nothing to do, as has been the case for the last couple of months, looking on PCS, waiting for an old version of visual c to download, getting excited about my new job starting at the end of next week.

I can't wait to be gone from here!

Yeah I've had maybe 1 to 3 hours of work per day for the last 2 months. My brain is dying from inactivity at work. And its not because there isn't work to do, just because giant monolithic multinational corps work slow when it comes to intercontinental/departmental communications and work sharing... And you have to wait for these people on the other side of the planet to communicate with you while being separated by a massive time zone difference.

On the other hand, my new rig is awaiting dispatch and will probably be with me tomorrow morning. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

Ah, you see, new rig makes it all ok! I'm jealous... I might buy another laptop just for that moment when you first receive the package and open it!

Yeah just need to endure the excruciating wait for Fallout 4 now. One more week... I even took 2 days off next week to play it!

Finishing a load of paperwork and getting everything sorted for our end of year accounts, luckily I'm fairly up to date with it all but still a PITA.

Already took delivery of just over half a ton of potatoes, just waiting for a delivery of pies and going to have to put a pot of curry sauce on at some point before noon.

Then later i've to peel 100kg of spuds along with all the other assorted prep work for tonight, then come 4 o'clock it's time to get cookin.

Hopefully i'll be able to fire up a game this evening, though that probably wont be till 10pm. At least its something to look forward to!

Damn that sounds like a hella line of work. I cant recall when was the last time I got out of work after 5PM. Flexible working hours, working from home, having nothing to do and just being able to leave makes things a lot easier it seems on my end. On a working day I'd be in bed at 10PM, not even considering playing. lol Though on Fridays and Saturdays I do stay up till 3/4AM.

To be fair, I don't have a commute to worry about as I only live 2 doors down from the shop and the description above makes it sound a bit worse than it actually is.

My last job was job and finish so most days id be home before noon but I didn't like it so after being made redundant I went self employed. That and I'm so NOT a morning person so this way I can get up later :) (usually)

Also at work, atm setting up trust relationship between two 2012 R2 domain controllers. Later will look into replicating a test server between two ESXi servers (using Veeam).
Now then, if I mentioned such thing to a random girl met in pub, they would most likely walk away in an instant thinking I'm a right nerd. Hopeffully, this forum is more forgiving :D

Well my usual commute is 15 minutes on foot along the river Kennet. Really nice trail too, zero traffic since no vehicle roads around. Although I do sometimes have to go to London Paddington which takes about an hour one way combined between walking to the train station and the actual train trip.

Before starting this job I wasn't able to get out of bed pre-noon, so I'm not really a morning person either. But since I started I began "adulting" very hard. Proper sleeping pattern, actually bothering to make food instead of eating frozen pizzas and ready meals. lol

But I still miss being a uni student and being able to just rise with the dark, go to sleep with the dark. There were 3 weeks during my final year in winter where my sleeping pattern was so messed up I haven't seen sunlight for that duration. Once I finally decided to fix that a little and saw sunlight for the first time in 3 weeks everything looked so blue due to being used to yellow street lighting. It blew my mind. lol

This is going to look like shameless bragging. That's because it is shameless bragging, but wouldn't you?

Today I am pretending I know what I am doing with HTML by copy pasting things around in Notepad to make changes to our passenger ticket document. It's going really well (is what I am telling other people).

And dayum Ubu! :) (also, I swear it was you on Simon Mayo's Confessions yesterday...older gent living it up on a yacht in the Med :D )

A nice watch indeed, except .....
You posted at 14:35 but it looks like the watch was purchased at 11:32 and has not worked since (may also have ben at 23:00 in 24 hr mode). On the face of it, it looks like a BSOD although I can't quite make out which of the dials is showing the error code. It may have something to do with it being the 1884 model and the dealer has not applied a recent firmware upgrade. Also check that the drivers are compatible with Windows 10.

I received my PCS delivery today, but obviously now it has to get busy at work and everyone wants to hold meetings so I cant even test it out. At least I know it powers on!
