I could be wrong but I think some press have continuous access to the beta. On top of that there are some players that have reached max level so I would assume the beta is most of the game. That is all content for all 3 factions plus pvp.

My download took about 20hrs I think. It got faster overnight but for some reason really sped up during the day, but that was one of the earlier CBW. Could be slow because there are a ton of keys being given out for this one, everyone DL'ding at the same time.

So thought I'd ask, as early access is available now: Anyone got the game? I pre-ordered it, so been playing yesterday. Looks good so far, ran into 1 bug (compared to the beta).

Not tried pvp yet, just got to level 10 yesterday.

Has anyone got this? not sure if I want to buy it? been thinking about it this weekend. Is the explorer pack worth it? also where is the cheapest place to get it?

Ok since launch i have spent approximately 25hrs with the game so far. I know i am still in the early stages, but i have to say its pretty good.

I know some people say the combat is bland or not visceral, but for an MMO i would say its not bad. Its certainly not quite tab targeting like WoW but is not as good as TERA.

The main thing that has kept me going is the questing. It definately has an Elder Scrolls feeling to it. It certainly is not your usual kill 10 rats quests. I mean they are there, but are few and far between. In addition they do a very good job of disguising fetch quests for what they are. As every quest is voiced, i found myself getting drawn in instead of clicking through the dialog. I dont think Zenimax wants people to be racing through to max level and it shows. They have put alot of effort into questing, to the point it does feel like a single player game in that respect.

Classes are not restricted to what you would think. For example just because you choose a sorc doesnt mean you have to wear light armour and be a caster. You can be a sorc tank with a 2h sword which is entirely viable. The choice on how you want to build your character is entirely up to yourself.

As i said, i have not been playing for long, but it has slowly drawn me in the longer i play. Certainly in a way that no other recent MMO has. I have encountered a few bugs here and there, but i have been playing since day 1 of the early access and have never had an issue logging in and i have been logging in every day, multiple times even during evening peak times.

Ive been playing on and off since saturday when i finally downloaded it (oh my poor slow internet) and i love it. Given up on my first character at level 9 for now as i realised i have level 2 - 7 weapons and armor and i keep dying (and i have no money is a spent my time crafting the wrong stuff) but oh well ill come back to that one later.

First time I crafted I crafted all lvl-1 gear when I was about lvl 8 then was wondering why I was dying so much :whistling:

Nice tips Moos.

A few other useful things I have learnt.
1. Increasing stamina increases damage of your light/heavy attacks.
2. Before deconstructing always look to see if a trait can be researched.
3. When researching on a trait, it is only applicable to that particular type of weapon/armour. e.g. if you research a trait on light robes, the trait wont be available for medium or heavy chestpieces.

Im struggling with the trait research thing. Also rainbow is good unless you always want to be a hard armor wearing killa!

When you research traits then whenever you make new armour of that type the trait will be available to add to that armour/weapon piece.

Ohh right. Well in order to research anything you need to have the weapon/armour in your inventory when you visit the crafting station. Then once you click on the research tab you will have to scroll along each weapon/armour type to see if anything is researchable. If there is then you can select it for research which destroys the item.

That's why its always good to see if you have anything worth researching before you deconstruct. Don't forget though if you research a bow trait, that trait will not be available for anything else except a bow, so it may not be worth your while researching something you will not use on that character.

PS - don't feel dumb, it took me a while to figure out and even then it was by chance because I happened to have something in my inv I could research. There is a chance you can have lots of items in your inv and nothing available to research.

Figured it out, I was seeing things with fancy "stuff" located below the image of the gear as researchable but that was the sodding enchant. Sorted it now and Im powering through.

Hi all,

I am personally finding that TESO is most enjoyable when playing with others, (otherwise you could argue you may as well play Skyrim). However, the questing is some of the best I have ever experienced in an MMO. I am finding that some of the time, I don't care what the reward is or whether I get any EXP, I just want to find out the ending to a quest/story line. Grouping with others also grants an EXP bonus, not to mention makes clearing groups of mobs easier. This being said, when grouping with other people, I tend to find that you skip faster through the quests stories without listening/reading them. So there is that balance of trying to play along side others to make the multiplayer Eldescrolls experience what it was meant to be, and being absorbed into the storyline by finding people that aren't going to skip through the quest dialog, and leave you behind with the NPCs!

Any guilds going here, give me a whisper or mail in game, my name is "Atuleon". (Having a wife, kids and full time job, I am a casual gamer).

I'd be interested in a guild too, i've been playing since the start of the first beta and am lvl 3 veteran now. I group with a few friends but they play less than me and therefore lower level so they're just not up to the task of playing the higher level group dungeons. If any high level players want to group together and do some group dungeons then hit me up, Mev007 in the game.

edit: forgot to add I started out in Ebonheart Pact.
