Yes I cant wait for Skyrim, I've had it pre-ordered for 2 months now!

I'm playing the BF3 Beta and it is enjoyable but I'm not really a die hard shooter fan, as the only other COD/BF game I have owned is COD 4:MW which I didn't play for very long.

I still play oblivion when im bored, trying to get through it with OOO and the slider across to its hardest, i swear, one battle with a bandit lasts like 10 minutes! Cant wait for skyrim, looks awesome. Should tide me over nicely until GW2 or D3 comes out! Need something epic to play since i got fed up of WoW :)

Woo, check from her majesty's revenue and customs finally cleared. Preordered BF3, Skyrim and The Old Republic. I'm all set. With what's left I shall get another fan for the side of my case to blow extra air on the graphics card.

Oh yea, my rebate is from the last 3 months of 2007 and the first 3 months of 2008, so a 6-month period. So at the very least it's taken them 3 and a half years to get it to me.

However! I didn't ask for it. I didn't even know I was due a rebate, they just surprised me with it. Perhaps if you persist in moaning at them for it they might get it to you faster.

I'm hoping the release isn't full of glitches like console to PC games seem to be! Rage being a recent example.

IGN.com had exclusive 3 hour preview of the game, they said they couldn't even start a quest or side quest because there was so much to do in the wilderness, it was just so beautiful to play and interact with the outside elements. I mean.. THREE hours? Thats crazy! I'm gonna have no social life after this.

Games will always have glitches to start with, complex games will always have more, its a fact of software development. At the end of the day as long as they fix the issues I have no problem. The speed of fixign is the main issue, even if they do take a few weeks to fully sort out the main glitches, I dont see a problem with that.

People expect far too much and expect games to be perfect. The fact is someone like Infinity Ward wont have that many glitches because they have a well established game engine, a well established game and many priogrammers that have been working on the same franchise for years. The game is just constantly being developed. A game like Rage may use an existing game engine but its a new development, new developments will alw2ays have many more bugs than continuing devs like cod.

Well, I think any customer whom buy a offline game has the full right to expect a 100% finished product with no glitches, because whether you like it or not, not all households have internet connections, fair enough these days most do, and its rare to see one without it, but a company shouldn't expect. However, they can cover themselves with a lable saying "needs internet connection to be played" or "Internet connection needed for bug fixing patches" etc. Either that or send out discs with patches on in the post to all consumers.

I wouldn't buy a broken car, with a lable on it saying that any glitches will be fixed in two weeks by a mechanic. Nor would I buy anything that is partly finished only to be repaired at a later date. Online games are different from offline games. Offline games should not require patches that FIX a game, they should get patches that add content.

If my father in law, who actually enjoys games like the elderscrolls games, bought a offline game only to encounter a glitch that prevents him from moving forward in the story, he would not understand what a patch is, nor would he know how to sort it. He'd infact pop down to the shop and tell them its broken and ask for a new copy.
