Thinking about new PC - advice most appreciated

Hiya,
My PC of 7 years is now buggered (keeps turning on and off after the machine is powered on). I've tried cleaning it and checking the cables, but nothing has worked.
So I'm thinking about getting a new PC in the price range of £1500 to £1600.
I'm looking for a build that can both accommodate a fair amount of storage (for games) and also play the following games well:
- Warhammer Total War 3
- Space Marine 2
- Planetside 2
- Darktide
- Halo Infinite/MCC
- Ghost Recon Wildlands
- Elder Scrolls Online
- Lord of the Rings Online

Not sure if that asking for too much for too little? Any advice or build suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That monitor is unsuitable for gaming at any level; it's a 27'' TN panel at 1080p and a maximum refresh rate of 75Hz.
It will be a bottleneck for any modern system. What's your budget for a proper gaming monitor?
I didn't have any issues with it whilst my computer was operational?
As for budget... eh.. £50 to £150?

If you're okay with playing with capped fps and low res without HDR, it should work.
I don't feel it's a good gaming experience, but that's just my perspective.

Anyway, here's the build I'd suggest for a 1080p gaming system.

N.B. I think you would want to transfer your current OS license to the new PC, so I didn't include it.

Well I appreciate your honesty and advice. Atleast now I'm aware of it and can ponder it over based on the facts you established, plus if I run into performance issues I'll know where to go next (as in new monitor).

Thanks very much for the suggested build! 😀

Yes, keep in mind that the 7600XT is a 1080p entry-level GPU. If you opt to get a decent gaming monitor, you will most certainly need a more appropriate GPU.
