Trouble Gaming With PCS Defiance

I purchased a the Defiance back in December and received it before Christmas, everything has been working perfectly except during gameplay. If I try set the resolution to max (2880x1620) some games crash, Titanfall and Civ 5. They then crash on loading as well unless I open Nvidia experience and optimize the game settings thus lowering the resolution to 2048x1152. I don't know if this is a problem with the laptop or graphics drivers or just some software clashing between nvidia experience and the game. Any help would be awesome.

I've now tried uninstalling experience and it still crashes, Civ V gets a render error. Some games will play at 2880x1620.
