updating gtx580 drivers

Hi,
Is it ok to update the graphics drivers (gtx580) from the official nvidia site? It mentions that it should really be done from here but the drivers section for my laptop doesnt seem to have anything.

EDIT: just thought I would mentio that because of my job I cant actually call tech support during the week and Im only interested in doing it because I like to keep them uptodate

I prefer to adopt the "if it 'aint broke, don't fix it" option. It's a lot less hassle

How many times have you heard people saying they've only had a certain problem since they updated to the latest driver.

Lol, fair enough. But then again you could have said that about your pc....

I just U/G mine and all went well,its always best to U/G drivers as they are released to solve probs and improve performance(similar to game patches)

Not really....it was broke (well, unusable anyway)

Thought I would mention for anyone considering it, updated drivers twice now (inc just released update for BF3) and theres no problems with it.
