How is the 1TB Intel drive cheaper than the 512GB one?

Am sure you could remove the cooler as well for another £42 off. I have the stock cooler on my 3600 and, even on absolute minimum speeds, it keeps CPU temps low

Not super familiar with the 4300G so don't really know what the basic cooler is like I went for better safe than sorry with the tried and tested 212 Hyper. Cheap and cheerful and for sure up to the task but hey could be a very good shout

The computer he got now he had a few years from argos and that got a 4core 4 thread. And it's slow as hell. I have format pc and done clean install. Still slow. He using a 1tb ssd drive. It taking him 10min to load a web page up. Done speed test nothing wrong with Internet as he getting 50mb upload and 945mb Download. So reason he wanting a faster pc with better and more cores cpu and fast nvme drive

Switch to the 5600G and the PCS 3200 MHz RAM. It costs £1 more and would perform way better.

It's probably the RAM that's the limitation. Nowadays the browsers want 8GB on their own

I wouldn't recommend that case. The 5700g is massive overkill, it's a waste of money. The 5600g is an excellent performer.

Similar with the 990 pro. It's wayyyyy past what's required and I don't think the speeds will even be supported with the chipset.

The build as suggested far exceeds the requirements, spending more money on bits is genuinely pointless. It's his money of course

If you really want a pretty case, I'd suggest getting one of the Fractal Pop Air cases and doing "send in your own case".

Thank you for help. My grandad decided to go for that. But he wants the pcs spectrum rgb mid tower case as the width is 208 and fits perfect where he got his pc now. But the factual pop silent case is 215w. So won't fit. So would the rgb mid tower be fine with all the parts listed. If so I can get it ordered for him. Will it defo be fast enough for browsing stuff. As stated he got 4cores 4 threads at mo with 8gb ram and ssd. Slow as hell. Takes about 5/10min to load ebay up. Formated pc and still same. Case: Given the spec and uses, that's not going to be a problem.

Speed: As mentioned before, I have a Ryzen 3600 which is a generation previous and that, combined with 16GB 3200MHz RAM and a PCS M.2 SSD....browser tabs open up instantaneously, multi-tasking is not a problem either (I can be streaming from my console via capture card so software for that, have numerous stream releated tabs open, Discord open etc and my CPU use barely gets to 10%). I do a lot of internet surfing, do the odd bit of video editing, the aforementioned streaming, video file conversions etc and have never had cause to think "Oh, if only I had a better system"
