What do you guys think about this build?

So my plan after getting this build is playing and streaming, mainly warzone and maybe some other titles. If anyone can recommend any change I would like to stay in this budget of 3100€

Hey, ty for link I did check that. So right now I have 75hz monitor, I was looking to get better PC before upgrading that. So what cpu you would suggest over that i9? I was looking on parts that are not pre-order tbh, so from ryzen my picks are 9 5900X or overclocked 9 3950X and with this 2 I could add ASUS VG248QE 24" (144hz) monitor. I suck at picking parts not gonna lie, also is getting 3070ti worth over for example 6700xt? I was looking for nvidia gpu because of nvenc for streaming

Hi mate, I would recommend the 5900x for a much better CPU. the monitors you are listing are no good for the GPU's though, they are 1080p monitors but the 3070 or the 6700xt are 1440p GPU's

You really should be looking at ultrawide 32"-34" 1440p 144Hz monitors for the 3070 for example

You could get one of them and maybe a regular 60hz 1080p monitor to keep an eye on the streaming stuff

Oh we can do so, so much better than this for you. Let's start with a god-tier monitor, the AOC Gaming CU34G2X, ultrawide, 1440p, 144Hz. This does cost quite a bit however, probably €500, so let's say the rest of our budget is €2750. I love @Steveyg's build, and would urge you to go for it if you can, but if we need to be €150 cheaper we could look like this. The compromise is dropping down to the eight-core 5800X rather than the twelve-core 5900X; this is a pity, but unavoidable at your budget point.

For streaming and gaming a 5800x would suit you fine if u can afford it tho the 5900x is a great chip and runs cooler

Hey guys, I really appreciate all responses, only thing is that I'm not fan of this ultra wide monitors and would like to stay in like 27" range, so from what i have see here maybe something like PCS GD27 27" QHD - 165HZ and its still 1440p monitor

Your power supply is way too light. I believe Nvidia themselves recommend a 750W for the 3070. 850W RMx minimum would be my recommendation. Think of it like this, we don't build computers for what we currently need we build computers for what we think we'll need in future

Secondly the 4000D is quite a small case for the components you are trying to put in there that's why I suggested the 5000X which is the 4000D's bigger brother. It's more suited to the parts you are selecting allowing more room and airflow in the case.

I don't know enough about PCS's monitor to recommend it to be honest. 27" Samsung G5 1440p 144Hz is currently £240 on Amazon for Prime Day though which is an option

I tried to put bigger PSU and i keep getting this thing "You have selected a 850W power supply, but based on our calculations you actually only need a 650W power supply. We have calculated your specification to require around 556W of power including a 20% allowance. Although it is not a mandatory requirement to select a lower wattage power supply, doing so will save you money and the last thing we'd like to do is over charge you!"

thats why I took 750W one but I get it yeah, also I will miss this prime day unfortunately thats why Im looking to get everything from here

PCS calculator just gives you the minimum of what a system will need not what it will actually use under load. I find it very misleading, it also leaves you practically zero room for upgrades in future. Ignore the message and proceed with an 850W is my recommendation for a minimum PSU on this build

The G5 is about as good as it gets price wise for a 1440p 144Hz monitor unfortunately. Outside of Prime day they are usually around £280-£300, I have one and can recommend it. I can't say the same for the PCS offering

@NiKO

I think you can save some money on the CPU by downgrading to a 5800X. You started off speccing a i9-11900K, an 8 core processor. In multi-core performance terms the most comparable CPU is the 5800X. In fact it's a little bit ahead while it's a little bit behind in single core terms. While the 5900X is a nice to have, it's doesn't offer any real performance improvement for gaming over a 5800X.

So downgrade to a 5800X and that saves you Euro150 or so. Use EUR5O of that to upgrade the PSU to an RMx850. The 3070Ti needs at least a 750W PSU (Nvidia says so) so 850W will give it room to breath. You don't want a loud noisy PSU.

Delete the PCS monitor. I have no idea whether it's good or bad but that's the problem. Use the other EUR100 and that money to buy a nice 27 inch 1440p monitor. Samsung G5, LG Class UltraGear 27GL850-B, Dell S2721DGF etc. You might even be able to find an ultra-wide.

Your overall experience with a nicer monitor and quieter more reliable PSU will be better than the theoretical advantage of 12 cores vs. 8.

So from this last build I posted, I can change to Ryzen 7 5800X, 850W Rm and maybe AOC G2790PX 27" ?

The 5800X will be great. I'd go for the 850W RMx power supply rather than scrimping for the older RM model. And I wouldn't go for that monitor: it's only 1080p. Get a 1440p one like the AOC Q27G2U, the Samsung G5 or suchlike.

I'm sure the PCS one is rebranded from another supplier. That's fine, but without knowing which it's very hard to recommend. I'd go for one that has good reviews.

Don't buy a 1080p TN panel for a great build with a 3070Ti ... it would be a total waste!

Find yourself a 1440p monitor you like. There are lots of recommendations on this forum but many websites will have a slew of reviews for good gaming monitors in that class. You need to decide whether you want a IPS or VA panel, flat or curved etc. It's a personal choice.

Samsung g5 is a favourite 1440p on the forums

I’ll keep championing the AOC CQ27G2U (and it’s non curved counterpart Q27G2U) for 1440p 144hz. I own the curved variant and love it, total game changer and generally cheaper than the Samsung if you’re looking outside of prime day deals

DarTon

That's why it's a highly personal choice. I'm totally happy with curved screens but would always take an IPS over VA, and would prefer a higher brightness than the 250nits on the G5. So in the 27in category, I'd be going for the Dell S2721DGFA (£319) or LG UltraGear 27GL850-B (£299), both nano IPS panels with 350-400nits.
