What to choose!

I have recently inherited a substantial amount of money, £1000 GBP to be exact, plus an additional £200 so all in all £1200. I wish to spend around a maximum of £800 if possible on a Laptop primarily but i am willing to buy a desktop if needs be, I wouldn't wish to spend a whole lot more than £800. The machine needs to be able to run programs like the adobe master collection with ease and have good video rendering capabilities. It also needs fairly good gaming capabilities. Things like garry's mod on steam and Borderlands 2 on as high as possible with ease. I primarily would like a laptop and i know that Medion have some erazer and akoya LAPTOPS on sale at the moment but I am unsure how they will perform gaming wise? I have also seen this - [Edit by Rakk - no competitor links please] on the medion site and the specs look great, only I again don't know how this will perform, if anyone knows and good configurations, either pre-built or self build, could they please share them with me? I also configured my own with the pcspecialist's own one, I made a mini pc as i very much like the aesthetics, please could someone also overview my configuration and give me some feedback as to weather it will meet the above criteria? I am open to the concept of building my own or buying second hand. I ideally want a laptop for portability but i understand that my budget may not be able to get a gaming one, as i say i have £1200 so i am willing to stretch my budget a little but as little as possible, I hope I'm not being to demanding! The computer ideally needs to be small (this is why I configured a mini PC) as i have very limited space, can anyone overview my mini config as well or recommend some more? Here are the specs and thanks all! :tt2:

You may want to consider a caviar black as the main drive and at least silver warranty for £5.

I have added those. its still affordable, What do you think about the specs? How will it perform for things like Farcry 3? etc... :)

If possible I'd try to push for the GTX 660 ti.

I have been given portal 2, will this run aswell on full, thanks I gave you a rep by the way :)

Yep, portal 2 isn't really that graphically demanding. Every game out at the moment should run on that build, probably on max settings or at least very close. Just google the specifications if you're unsure. I'm not fully familar with mini-pc's but I assume the actually components are the same, just in a smaller setup which means that you should ensure there is good airflow when playing something demanding.
