Binned the idea of a CM headset, the green socket in my tower is already taken up so i am gonna get a wireless one. Not looking for anything too fancy, looking ibto my system and not sure which one is my sound card, is it this Realtek High Definition Audio

Not sure what CM stands for, but I'm also looking for a decent headset to wear for PC and PS4.
I purchased the Sennheiser PC 350SE for £120, £20 over your budget, although I can't recommend them as I don't have them yet

I also came across the Sennheiser PC 320 for £69.99 or the Logitech G430 for £69.
I personally don't like wireless peripherals as 1) you have to charge them or 2) change battery and for gaming you need wired everything IMO.

revieved my head set which is wired. Roccat kave 5.1. Working fine but the sub woofer effect suddenly went and all of a sudden there is this reall loud back ground noise, like a hair dyers. Won't go.

The static on mt Roccat kave 5.1 is horrid. Had to turn the quality down to stereo in my realtek HD sound manager, which only helps a little. Another issue is that my voice is not very clear to other player, even when i use boost and a high transmit level. My pc does not recognise my headphones, but has speakers, but cannot find a way to change hat, real stuck!!

get ya self a semi decent PCIE soundcard mate, i'd suggest an ASUS DXG or DX.

at-least it is not a faulty headset, is it hard to add a new sound-card? If it is will just send it to pc specialist. +1 rep as always buddy

nah well easy mate, plug it in, connect up the power cable if it has one, connect your headset to the card,turn on pc, install drivers, and set it up,

can either take the drivers off the disk, or better yet get the drivers from the manufacturer.

blast, just noticed you have the roccat kove 5.1 - is that USB? if so, dont get the soundcard. Usb headsets dont work with soundcards,

I'd try completely unninstalling the headset, then reinstall it.

are you connecting the headset to the mobo usb directly?

Not sure on how to uninstall the devise. It have no driver disk with it as it does not require one. The usb was in the back of my case, tried all the usb sockets and not different results. +1 Rep as always

try, control panel, hardware and sound, device manager, sound, video and game controllers.

Have a look there, see what is listed. You will probably see realtek something and also your usb device (headset)

double click it, then driver, and uninstall. Then Turn the PC off and On again to confirm. (remove the headset when you do this)

then, turn it off again and plug the headset back in again. As you get into windows try your headset before reinstalling the realtek drivers, (download the latest ones) if it doesnt work, then try the realtek drivers.

I wonder if it is a setting somewhere that is causing it?
