I moved this to general because as Keynes pointed out, it probably isn't best suited to sales advice.
I think you would find most of us wouldn't go all out with quad titans. I have see a couple of people doing in ultimate builds, even when they weren't the fastest cards. Hell I wouldn't even go about a 4770. Even if I had a million quid I doubt my dream PC with peripherals would go over 1.3/1.5k absolute max. As I know all too well that spending more gets you significantly less performance/£ over that kind of area. That and I know I wont be needing more performance.
I'm toying with the idea of a new rig right now. But because I'm gonna slot in my GPU, probably my HDD too, it looks like it will come out under £800. I would have pretty much my dream PC then, by that I mean something I can send a little on every so often to keep it updated with whatever I need.
. Does this mean then that you're happy with your rig? Maybe I could change the question for you Keynes, what would you change about your rig, given the chance?Money is always an issueand purpose..
Money no object? I'd go with this below, it would stop me thinking about upgrades for a very long time. Surprisingly this only rolls in at just double what I paid for my current rig. And I also found out that these PCs built in the Cosmos tower get delivered on a pallet!

I was thinking of buying a new rig but due to work commitments I haven't had time to do any gaming for months and that's unlikely to change for the rest of the year. If I had more spare time, new rig with all the unnecessary things I tell others not to get.. Does this mean then that you're happy with your rig? Maybe I could change the question for you Keynes, what would you change about your rig, given the chance?
Love this spec, fully kitted out! However, why the choice of 2133MHz RAM? Is it not usually recommended to go for the lower MHz?
Also, why the Caviar Green HD and not just throw in another Black? Is that to lower power consumption? Just curious![]()
