Windows store App issues

Having issues with all apps going to pending in the microsoft store app, will not install xbox app either. Updated windows to latest version 22h2.
We have tried some suggestions like stopping the services, repairing the store app. No luck with anything. Steam, EA and Ubisoft all work okay.
My son is more than a bit miffed as most of his games are through game pass. Any help appreciated.

I've actually had this happen, here's a couple of things that I went through and eventually everything has worked fine since.

Firstly run a virus scan of the system to make sure there are no spyware, malware of viruses on the PC.

Run the Windows AppStore Troubleshooter by going to Settings then Update & Security then Troubleshoot. If this comes back as okay try going to Settings and then to Apps and highlight Microsoft Store then choose Advance Settings and the Reset. (This was the option that rectified my App issue).

You can also reset the AppStore cache by typing wsreset.exe in the Start search bar and right click and Run as Administrator as sometimes a stuck cache can cause app update issues.

Tried all of the solutions on-line could not get any to work.

Ended up restoring windows. Lucky it was a fresh install anyways so little damage done.
