It seems that I can still order a second Hard Disk Drive. What size should I go for which won't cost much?

My first HDD is 1TB Cavair

Or should I wait and see if I need one? I'm planning on doing some gaming and using photoshop

I have mostly games on my Caviar Black (but also about 15gb music and 180gb movies), I have used 723gb, I don't have that many games - new games take up a lot of room, BF3 with expansions is over 30gb, Bf4 is 26.2gb so far, AC3 is 16.5gb. It fills up pretty quick. edit: OS is approx 46gb as well.
That said, it's very easy to fit your own HDD when you need to - it's literally just plug in power cable, plug in SATA cable (there will be a plug above or below the one for your primary HDD), format the new HDD and you're away.

Im a big advocate of having as much HDD space as possible so i would suggest getting the biggest Caviar Black you can afford. However, if the additional drive is for backup or storage purposes i would probably opt for a Caviar Green.

Out of interest, what do you do with your PC that requires 6tb of HDD?

Good question bigben!

The biggest HDD I can afford is 1TB.

Think I'll leave it for now guys and buy one if I need one.

If I was to move all game-related files to my 2nd Drive, is it a simple cut and paste and would they work if I load the game up?

Not sure i can say on these forums LOL :detective:

@ Fishy - youd have to reinstall your games again. But Like Ben said, its very easy to upgrade your HDD later. You might want to even consider an SSD in future as your main drive.

I don't know. lol
Never owned my own pc, let alone bought one with my own money (I'm 29!!). Just curious about things that's all.
Maybe I could use one hard drive or SSD for my photos and everything else, and keep the other for games. I really don't know.

If using an SSD,best to install the programs most used on it,and store data,eg.pics and music on second hard disk.
Personally I wouldn't bother with an SSD,(but I know some members will disagree)
I would stick with the one 1TB Caviar Black for now and add another later if required.
I would also recommend upgrading to the triple copper heatpipe CPU cooler,if you haven't already done so.

I disagree!

SSDs are getting better value for money now. I got a new Hyper X 240gb last week for £130 which I think for the increase in performance isn't too bad. I think it's one of those things that if you haven't tried it you don't miss it.

I'll get over it. :)
Hope you enjoy your new PC,you won't be disappointed with the R9 280X,awesome card, have one myself. :)

Thanks. I hope so too :)

Its in its 2nd day of production and its in pre-production. Hope it doesn't take too many weeks. But it did say that it should be despatched on the 15th? Maybe it'll be after that date?
