Setup standard partition

Drivers from my account section

I don't know screenshot of device manager is relevant? It's just missing there

It’s very hard with the minimal information you’re giving to determine what process you’ve done so far, a device manager screenshot will clarify my suspicions of the cause

Can you also post a screenshot of your optional updates page?

And also disk manager as well please

Unfortunately (Custom) Laptops are far more intrinsic than desktops for ensuring proper driver installation. There are a lot of pre-requisites that need to be followed, hence the requirement for detailed information and steps that may seem out of the ordinary.

The install needs to be correct, with a standard partition layout (without any remnants of older installations).
The specific chipset typically needs manually installed. With that the Control Panel usually follows (again, the correct version is crucial).
Any bespoke for chassis drivers need installed (Windows can potentially conflict in this instance).
Standard Windows updates then follow with more typical driver updates.

With that in place, there's also the potential for a switch option in the BIOS itself. I believe it can go between modern and compatibility, but this might not apply in your case.

Hopefully that helps to give insight why the information needs to be detailed and full. It's imperative that we know exactly where you are at so that the situation isn't made worse with assumptions.

Based on this information, do you know why thunderbolt is missing?
Not until we’ve got the info requested

From what I’m seeing windows isn’t configured fully yet which is what is suspected, until that’s done the hardware won’t work properly.

Yeah, your windows isn’t configured yet. Most of your devices haven’t been installed.

You can’t use the system until windows isn’t first configured. If you’ve installed the master driver before windows is configured, it won’t be able to tie into any of the hardware so is useless and without the master driver, the system won’t work properly

What do I need to do then?
You need to first configure windows properly. if you’ve installed stuff like graphics and the master driver and software before you’ve properly configured windows, it will cause issues if your try to correct that at this stage.

Best course would be to start over with a clean install

Can you please be more clear?

What is "configure windows properly"? What is "master driver"?

If I consider reinstalling Windows, what do I need to do differently this time?
