That's what I'm thinking maybe the front panel audio header has not been connected properly, hence hoping that the rear connections work ok, in which case narrows down the issue somewhat ;)

Just checked the AMD radeon software settings for my 6700xt, and my fans don't activate until GPU temp gets to 50c, and then they only run at 30% capacity. The above is the default setting for my card and the software, not made any changes to the manual tuning

Is this a PCS machine, and if so did you get permission from PCS to update your bios ?

Sorry couldnt get a picture without dismantling the pc, its just too dark down there. However to give you an idea it looks similar to this. Nothing special, but does the job simple enough. No logo on mine just plain black steel, supporting a 6700xt

The only reason I would imagine that PCS refuse the bios upgrade is if they are aware of issues with that bios, thus by asking them before hand , they will say yes that is fine go ahead, or else tell you that they are awaiting a new bios fix. The main issue is that you preserve your warranty...

Thanks Spyder, in my head I knew that was the route to take, but didn't want to mislead the OP. I would think the OP already has access to the resizable bar technology as he is using an AMD card, although agree with what you saying about wanting to be running latest bios

According to the gigabyte site the max clock speed for your card is 2424mhz, so that probably explains the issue when clock speed was set to 2500, so a driver reinstall is now probably a wise decision. The results from the last timely test you ran was fine by the way. The results would be lower...

On my settings I don't have the zeroRPM setting set. Thus my fan is running at around 600rpm when the gpu is idle and the temp is around 26c. If I enable zerorpm, then obviously my fans don't run until the temp gets to 50%. Idle temp with zerorpm is approx 32c. Given that I am unable to notice...
