Can't understand why people are so resistant to change, even when it's for the better. Yes, i lost some start bar customization options (like not being able to add it to the side instead of bottom), but windows 11 is (especially now) much better in every way. My opinion!
That is indeed my opinion.
You don't even have a dedicated GPU, so to me there's no point in getting that board because of the pcie 5 only.
I know that no gpu currently benefit from pcie 5, but they might in a year or so. However, you're paying today for the novelty factor that you don't even...
Didn't know about that limitation on ram quantity x speed, so good to know. Have never researched about such huge amounts of ram anyway 😅
Do you known if asus assures that the motherboard he chose accepts 96gb?
It's not a problem to get a power supply that is actually higher than what you need, it gives you more room for future upgrades and it will work more silently as well. But getting a psu that isn't compatible with your board is not possible.
My main doubt about your build is if there is a...
My only feedback is about your ram choice, but since you didn't post the link to configure, I couldn't check what was available. I would recommend getting a higher frequency than 5600, if possible. 6000 would be the minimum, but if there's higher available, even better.
Not a lot to comment...
The results are in... and it was the first time that I got a "Great" result in Firestrike when compared to other people's scores (even got a steam badge for it), meaning it went from 37,243 to 37,885.
The CPU did indeed clock higher on average (4.75GHz x 4.8 GHz), even though it was 1°C higher...
Did not have the chance to run benchmarks yet, as it's my first time having RGB on a case and I was overwhelmed by the amount of options that iCue gives you. :ROFLMAO: Will do that this evening, as I'm also curious to check the difference.
I have added 2 of your corsair fans at the bottom as...
Can't say bad things about PCS drives because my wife has a Sata ssd and never noticed any issues. But for sure you can find a lot more reviews online about well known brands, which is hard to find for PCS branded parts.
What I can assure you is that you won't notice the difference between 5000...
if i could stretch up to around £1,9k - would the below build, taking in to account what you said about the 7800x3d CPU and getting that in place now, be a good option?
absolutely, that would be the best you get get right now for that money (in my opinion)
if you could strip some of it out...
The main issues with your build (in my opinion, of course) are with the CPU cooler that is not enough to cool you CPU of choice, as well as I would prefer to have just a single 2TB SSD instead of a 256Gb M.2 and a 2TB HDD. They're about the same price, but the 256Gb M.2 (only fast drive you...
Depends on your budget and how far you're willing to stretch it. My suggestion would be a 360 AIO, so any corsair H150I would be great. If that's too much, maybe a 280mm would also be ok? Which would then mean any of the H115I options from corsair. But if want to cheap out on the cooler a bit...
Very happy and thankful for @SpyderTracks kindness 😉 Now it's just waiting for the fans and for my last parts to arrive and have everything built, hopefully this week. Will post a photo when it's finished 🙂
