    PCSPECIALIST Build advice

i love my ultrawide, when it works, it is brilliant. But that is the problem, when it works... So many times i have to tweak files, hex edit EXE or install mod to make ultrawide work. And there is the trouble of almost never having cutscenes in 21:9 If you dont mind the troubles of tweaking...

    PCSPECIALIST Build advice

for gaming, superwide is not the best option.. Ultrawides and Superwides are niche resolution that is often than not even properly supported, like sometimes not option at all, or cutscenes having black bars. So as he asked for GAMING, 4k 144hz would be better option :) ps. i love my ultrawide...

bios update is sometimes a part of windows update tho (granted i think it is optional update there) but the point is that inexperienced user might just update it because they see it in windows update, and bam warranty voided

especially to add to my previous post, especialy if they wont even bother updating bios in a first place to newest version.

this is a great point, why the hell would flashing bios void warranty? i been regularly updating my bios in old machine as soon as windows update notified me there is one available. I sure as hell wont have security risks on my new machine just to keep warranty with PCS, that is just stupid.

    PCSPECIALIST RAM - 4 banks of 8, or 2 of 16?

huh o.O i know there exist single rank 16gb sticks, but those are fairly rare and last time i talked with support they said they dont have those at all. Those ram sticks are good, but yeah, you need to up the ram at that point. it is only up to 10% speed benefits on zen 3, but you really...

    PCSPECIALIST RAM - 4 banks of 8, or 2 of 16?

also you should change the title of the post :D kinda confusing that you say 4x4 or 2x8 but in the post you are talking about 32gb ram and deciding to change from 2x16 to 4x8 :D Just in case you actually think of downgrading ram to 16gb, it is better to go with 4x4 so you still keep the 4...

    PCSPECIALIST RAM - 4 banks of 8, or 2 of 16?

the one thing that might benefit zen 3 a bit more is upping the speed, while latency is the same between CL16 3200 and CL18 3600, having 3600 mhz ram also means your infinite fabric will be running at 1800mhz instead of 1600. Could have marginal speed benefits

    PCSPECIALIST RAM - 4 banks of 8, or 2 of 16?

does not matter on AMD, as long as you have 4 ranks of dual channel memory. This can be achieved either with 4x8 or 2x16. So i say keep it as it is

PCSPECIALIST AMD FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution): Answer to DLSS

any form of competition on the market is good. FSR might not be currently supported by many games or might not be on the level of DLSS 2.0 (yet). But it is great start, and finger crossed for AMD even tho i have nvidia. More competition, better products, features and prices for consumers...
