Finally after half a year of checking 10 different shops in Denmark 5-10 times a day, i managed to snatch ps5 right now as one of the shops got stock.
The hype is real :D PS5 coming home, PC hopefully soon coming home too
anyway on the topic. I dont think the situation gonna improve anytime soon. The shortages are expected to last until end of 2021 even towards 2022. However 3080TI has half of the hash rate so it is not as lucrative for miners and it is quite expensive so might not be having so much orders...
Boy, thanks god my girlfriend is a gamer :D she is fine with me buying 5750 euro PC :D and i am about to buy a PS5 as it appears a local shop got a stock and will be able to order in an hour :D
that could have been due to motherboard / cpu combo and that specific bin having stability issues with such fast ram. It is not what PCS does by default. Make sure you got good mobo and CPU that supports such speeds and you should be fine.
And regards single vs dual rank, as long as you have 4...
hm, pretty sure i seen the warning online that SSD is failing to do backup and replacement, either way, the chances this will happen are very very slim. On top of that anyone who is buying a system like that probably knows to do backups or cloud storage. Microsoft does it even itself with...
i decided against HDD myself too. SSD is the future and they are quite more affordable nowadays. Do keep in mind one thing, SSDs need a power or they will lose data overtime. If you plan to store something long term externally, SSD is a no go :)
The benefits from 4x8 single rank is literally the same as 2x16 double rank on top of that there is no option to get 4x8 3600 mhz, a kit like that is not available and combining 2 2x8 ram kits is not advised
I actually think the prices will never fall to what they were, and in future the prices gonna be higher. This whole situation just showed manufacturer that people are willing to buy 2k dollars cards. Heck MSI and Asus officially announced and raised the MSRP of their cards. It is a sad reality...
oh on a side note, my parts were ready for this long, because i have switched to 3090 Strix back when it was grey, well knowing there is no date for delivery on that one. So i was probably the first one to get stock assigned, hence the fact all the parts were ready for 4-5 weeks now
i have gone for Liquid Series Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL Silver. so custom watercooling loop for both CPU and GPU.
I have also changed to 3080TI Strix to save a bit of money, so far 43 working days.
I have been told my parts are ready for 4 weeks now. it is just workforce. I guess liquid builds...
i second the above, if you really wanna resurrect this ancient pc, look at second hand market and no more than 1060.
If you have bigger budget, it is time to upgrade. Do not waste money on 30xx series cards in that pc
