Black Screens 5 mins in to any game, every time.

Hi Guys,

I am getting hit with a black screen every time I boot up any game, without fail.

You can still hear the game playing the the back ground and it seems to affect the whole computer i.e. if i tab out it doesn't affect the issue so it's not the game itself that is black screening buy the entire display.

I've tried doing lots of fixes like updating graphics card software's, updating drivers, updating windows/ looking for updates etc and nothing seems to work.

The issue started when I down loaded StarCitizen last year which was causing constant screen flickering. I uninstalled the game, did hundreds of fixes that I found online and that fixed that for a time but now I am getting this issue again.

I downloaded windows 11 sometime in the middle of last year but never had an issue up to late.

Any advice?

Would servicing hte laptop really fix the issue though?

If I hope the manual sleep button and then wake the computer again the screen comes back on.

Any gaming laptop will need repasting about once a year to keep temps in check, otherwise it's going to overheat, when it overheats you get thermal throttling on GPU and CPU and it will eventually just melt.

Until it's been serviced we can't do any troubleshooting as that's a major factor that could be contributing.

Ok thanks I will try getting it serviced first as a first port of call.

Appreciate the help.

Worth having a read of this as well, troubleshooting is not something you just know the issue and resolve it, first you need to identify the problem, it's a systematic process which has to be done methodicly
