Past Experience with PCS - changing order in building?

Quick Q - I've recently placed an order with PCS - it's now in the testing stage, during the building stage I was informed that the cooler I had chosen wouldn't fit the case I asked for (I think it slipped through as the original case I had chosen was out of stock but did fit my first choice cooler)

As a result of changing the cooler like recommended - I then proceeded to change some other items over the phone (this was whilst the pc was in the building stage) they said they wouldn't charge me for it as the new cooler was cheaper and I was just using the money they were going to refund me anyways (increased ram speed and upgraded ssd)

Have this annoying niggle in my head that seeing as the pc was already half built when I called (I called after 5pm, day end) could the person building my system have missed out on the other changes I had made ?

Has anyone had any experience of changing their order during the building stage and it being fine?

Really illogical worry but I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this system and the faff of having to return the pc to get the upgrades (if missed) would kill the hype around it for me! So anyone's comments with any experience or insight would greatly settle my pondering mind !

I did some changes during the building stage and it was fine. Only way to be sure is to contact PCS directly.

I don't think I've yet seen someone post on the forums to complain that changes they requested to the order weren't made.

Also, if there were an issue with the SSD or RAM (e.g. not as you agreed) I'd expect PCS to be quite keen to put it right. Those would be components you could easily swap out yourself, so I expect they'd send you replacements and cover the costs / provide a courier to pick up the surplus ones rather than insist you return the whole system for them to do it. This is what they did, as I recall, when my PSU had an issue.

Hi RVD1,

I can confirm that when changes are requested a Task is placed on the system for the relevant department. Our Dispatch team are not able to dispatch any order with live Tasks outstanding, our QC report also scans the Hardware in the system and checks this against the most up-to-date version of the online order. If any parts do not match the system will not pass the QC stage and a Dispatch Label will not be able to be created.

Many Thanks
