The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Wait....theres a difficultly slider? I have NO idea which one I am on!

Yus! But you can't choose which difficulty you want from the main menu. You have to get into the game, then pause & go to gameplay settings.

By default you'll be on the third of five settings. I'd say the fourth one is ideal, as the max setting gives mobs a silly amount of HP etc & they can take tediously long to kill.

I know they put a lot of effort in to the music for their games and I do like some of the music, like the re-done Morrowind music in certain cities, but for the most part I think the music is pants. It doesn't have the right tone or.. something. I'll need to get Oblivion's music in here at some point because it's really killing the atmosphere for me.

Its ok I finally got out , used a scroll or paralysis to stick her on the floor, took out the flame atronach witha dual wielded frost, then took her out with a dual weilded fire. Took about 30 seconds lol. Oh also for some wanting a little tip on getting scrolls off, some, liek the mass paralysis one take a little while to charge, when in my position there wasnt much time to do it, using a shout, for example the one that renders you immortal for a little while this gives you the time you need to use the scroll.

Anyway, im only lvl 9 (11 now) but managed to defeat her, gotta admit though, till I thought of the mass paralysis scroll, I was kinda screwed lol.

Does no one else here play a stealthy archer/assasin? am i the only one D:? well.. my dagger has a 30x stealth crit and i can 3 hit a dragon with it

I am Heavy Armour spec, with Archery and 1H & Shield. Not sure it was the best choice to take tbh, thinking I maybe should of went 2H and restoration. I can do some serious damage though with the Bow when hidden.

This whole 3 hitting a dragon sounds cool though, that on Normal difficulty?

Yeah I always play a Ranger/Archer type of character.

Light armour, small build, can't say I'm too keen on a dagger though, bow, rapier (Dual wield is nice, don't know if this game has it), Katana is good too.

I used that summon storm atronach scroll myself on an insignificant little quest to get back a rusty old sword for a guy whose father it belonged to. In the final room of the tiny little instance there was a weak mage, a regular weak bandit and a really powerful 2-handed axe wielding Nord beast whose health bar went down a gnats cock everytime I swung my sword at him, while he took away 1/4 of mine if he hit me and since I had no potions and hate hate hate lowering the difficulty I used the summon atronach...

And it killed him in 1 lightning bolt.

I think maybe I should have saved it, it's obviously extremely powerful.

I can summon my flame atronach whenevr I like luckily , if you goto the college they can seel you one as part of your entrance to the college.

I just got anhialated by a frost dragon, scared the crap outta me jumpin out on me lol. Normally the dragons ahve been quite easy, think i might get my flame atronach out. Anyone know if the shouts work against dragons? im guessing they dont.

Anyone noticed a bug with arrows staying in your character forever? I'm building quite a collection. I've had one stuck in my shoulder since the very start of the game when you first encounter hostile archers in the tutorial dungeon, and 2 more in various other places. They disappear as soon as you press F to go to third person view, but if you go back to first person and then back to third person again they're back, but disappear instantly every time.

I'm playing as a Wood Elf, going as a ranger type with Archery and Sneak primarily.

Absolutely loving it so far, I can't leave it alone.

I have started a Breton caster type (dont even think I am lvl 2 yet ). One thing I do hope is that the spells get more rangey, because I do seem to have to get hellofa close to actually hit anything at present!

Aside from gameplay...isss sooo pweeeetttyyyy

Yeah as you get better spells they tend to cast further away or affect larger areas. Also using things like atronachs deffinately help turn a fight. Combine that with the ability to call in a dragon (I cant do this yet) and a blizzard coupled with some of the master level spells and you enemy will have 0 chance lol.

Im trying to do eveything 100% mage, I have occasionally had to get a shield out but now with my fire atronach I dont tend to use it at all. I need to learn me some more spells though.

Adept, also the dragon has to be sitting down near those dragon walls and you need a high sneak level to get behind him ( i have 70 ) then 3 backstabs and hes dead

to get the stealth crit to go up to 30x first you need to get the perk on the sneak branches that gets the dagger backstabs (stealth hits) up to 15x then you need to join the dark brotherhood when they give you armour the glove gives you 2x the stealth crit on one-handed weapons

Has anyone one of you met/fought a dragon priest yet? if your above level 15 you should try and find them.. lots of riches await you

I'm playing as a Dark Elf. It's awesome, he looks so evil I'm going as a light armour archer and 2 handed weapon type. Am levelling up my destruction magic as well but I only have the default 2 spells at the moment and am doing the college tasks to try and learn a few spells, but I haven't found any spells yet

I think we should all start posting pictures of our guys soon lol.

Just got Lv31, 8 of those or so were from getting Smithing to 100 which seems a tad extreme.

I've actually not even done any of the main story quests yet, i've been so distracted with exploring xD
Currently using full enchanted Ebony armour, as I only have enough daedra hearts to make 2 pieces of the Daedra armour set, which would mean i'd lose my full armour set bonus if I mix & matched, which is a shame. I can make Dragon armour for myself as soon as I do a few story missions & fight some dragons, haven't seen any exploring lol!

I have cleared out some epic dungeons & gotten some amazing loots, including a few weird unique equips that are kinda quirky/situational.

Skyrim is my game of the year pick for sure, simply amazing. Battlefield 3 is serious online entertainment, but Skyrim is an epic masterpiece.
