This is the PC I ordered, primary use is gaming, is it acceptable?

I edited my comment above to hopefully explain my picks

As for upgradeability what I'm talking about is having a build last 5-7+ years rather than 2-3 years. You can set it up now to allow for future upgrades years down the line, as making them changes then can be very expensive and time consuming
That makes perfect sense, can't thank you enough for taking time out of your days to help me understand these things!

I would spend a bit more on the secondary storage. I don't think the PCS drive offers great value now as the 670 is only £3 more and offers better speed and far better endurance.

I would also just fork out the money for the 850 RMx. It'll pay dividends down the road. So many people regret low-balling the PSU in later years.

I've also thrown in a basic keyboard and mouse. This would very much be a starting point though. I would look to upgrade these. They are very personal items though so you would need to find what fits you ergonomically.

Also, going off this most recent build post, what would be the next step in making it better and improving performance, just so I know, and maybe will persuade me to increase the budget to fork out the rest

I wouldn't buy that case mate it's extremely budget and I can't see it offering anything worthwhile

Also the extra fans are just not needed

oh I just really liked the case design, I thought they all offered the same space, just aesthetically different, I'll change it back and take off the fans. Is there anything else to change or that I can improve?

If you like the Aesthetic which I agree looks pretty good, I'd recommend the Corsair 4000X which it's clearly a knock off of. The 4000X though is fairly expensive at £101 but it's a very very good case with excellent fans

Cases are more than looks it's all about the airflow, noise, space and ease of cable management

The cheaper cases tend to have no airflow, cheap and loud fans and nothing to help with cable management or general tidiness inside

The better cases generally have this as the reason they where built but tend to demand a higher cost for that. I'm a big fan of Corsair & Fractal for their case designs but Lian Li are definitely top of the food chain too

Oh, I see, definitely noted. I'll stick to the Lian Li you both recommended for me. Apart from that, is there anything else I could improve?

There's nothing I would change, other than the case, in all honesty. It has you covered perfectly for 1080p without going OTT. When ready to upgrade you will want a 1440p monitor (144hz) and a new GPU. Expect to pay around £600-700 for both.

The build has you covered for this upgrade though.

I'll write those recommendations in my Phone notes, thanks for that Scott, really appreciate it
